2nd Annual California Jazz & Wine Fest Seeks Wineries, Microbreweries & Gourmet Food Participants

The 2nd Annual California Jazz & Wine Fest, set for Sunday, May 19, 2013 in Thousand Oaks, is seeking wineries, microbreweries, restaurants and caterers to participate in the event.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - March 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Thousand Oaks, Calif.--The 2nd Annual California Jazz & Wine Fest, set for Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Conejo Creek Park, North (1379 East Janss Road) in Thousand Oaks, is seeking wineries, microbreweries, restaurants and caterers to participate in the event. Presented by the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Sunrise, the festival will be held from noon. to 6:00 p.m. and will feature wine, beer and food tasting and live jazz and R&B.

         "So far, we have over 15 wineries and microbreweries participating including locals such as the LAB Brewing Company, Alma Sol Winery, Herzog Wine Cellars and Vinemark Cellars as well as wineries from up north including Roxo Port Cellars, Lucas & Lewellen Winery, Opolo and Felten Cellars," says Nadine Rothermel, festival spokesperson.  

         Food vendors include Vom Fass, BJ's Restaurant, Mermaid Tavern, DJ's California Catering, Jinky's Café, I Would Rather Be Baking and Chef Stroh's Pestos. Wine, beer and food participants will need to provide sample-size servings for an expected crowd of between 1,000 and 1,200 festivalgoers.

         "Last year's event was a sell out," notes Rothermel. "The festival provides positive exposure to a crowd that loves great food and drink."    
         A limited number of music and wine-related vendor spaces is also available.
         The California Jazz & Wine Fest raises money to benefit youth music booster programs at Westlake, Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park and Agoura high schools. The award-winning Agoura and Westlake high school jazz bands will also perform.
