Experient Event Raises $4,000 for Children Impacted by Natural Disaster

TWINSBURG, Ohio - March 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Twinsburg, OH – Experient (http://www.experient-inc.com/), a Maritz Travel Company, the source for integrated meeting and event solutions, raised $4,000 in cash and gift cards for the Convoy of Toys during the Experient EnVision conference in Houston March 11-15. Convoy of Toys is a program of Lone Star Santas (http://www.lonestarsantas.org/), an all-volunteer charitable organization that provides love, hope and toys to children and families in the aftermath of natural disaster.

EnVision attendees gathered together during the meeting’s closing reception at Minute Maid Park, hosted by Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, Minute Maid Park and ARAMARK. The festivities included a dunk tank where participants could donate cash for a try at dunking Experient and supplier volunteers. The event raised $2,000, which was then matched dollar for dollar by Maritz Travel Company. The donation will be used to procure equipment to help store and transport toys to disaster areas when children who have lost everything can be comforted by a new toy.
