"Wow"! I've been appearing at book signings, festivals, and events around the country and it suddenly dawned on me that ... I had not appeared in a book fair or festival in my own city or state. Make no mistake about it ... this is exciting. Last year in June while appearing at the National Black Book Festival in Houston, Texas, an author asked if I was appearing at the Harlem Book Fair and I was so disappointed that I was missing this wonderful event held in my own back yard. I immediately made plans to attend this year and I will.  One of the things that makes this book fair so special to me is that it is an out door event and there is nothing like being involved in an out door event or any kind in New York City --- especially Harlem!  Mingling with the people, the food, the culture, the excitement..."

I'll have all four of my books at my author's table.  'Monologues: Dramatic Monologues For Actors' is my first and most popular book. It is a compilation of 32 original monologues from my plays, films, tv pilots, and radio dramas. 'Showtime: Comedic Acting Scenes for Two Actors' is the follow-up book to Monologues. It has 16 original scenes and like Monologues is a compilation of scenes from my body of work. '48 Poems: Reflections Of A Poet' is a treasure chest of love and language.  No other book on the market can match its contents and versatility. It is a compilation of 48 original poems, 8 genres, 48 stunning photos, 48 synopses, 48 Higher Order Thinking Questions, and a glossary of commonly used literary terms.  I wrote this poetry and literacy book out of the need to enhance my students' reading, writing, and comprehension skills. "I am also very excited about a project that I am engaged in to bring quality theatre at an affordable price to my community, Jamaica Queens, NY. It is such a shame that theatre is almost non-existent in Jamaica, Queens. Even sadder is the fact that most would-be theatre goers can't even afford it. If I get my way, a family of five would be able to see quality theatre for about $125.00 ... and still have money left over to go out to dinner. As it stands now, $125.00 might get one ticket to a quality show. Even better ... Jamaica residents would no longer have to travel all the way to Manhattan to see a play. This ... is exciting!"

Hudson who has been in theatre for most of his life is the founder of Poor Penny Productions, Inc. He has a MFA in Performing Arts Management, a BA in theatre,  and teaches all aspects of theatre in the New York City Public School System. He teaches professional writing and a very popular writing workshop called, "The Process of Writing".
