Solico Skylights was awarded the contract of Zakher Palace in Al Ain.

March 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Solico Skylights (http://www.solicoskylights.com), the GCC manufacturer and installer of challenging metal framed skylights was awarded the contract of Zakher Palace in Al Ain.
SOLICO was awarded the contract for design, manufacture and installation of Retractable Telescopic Barrel Vault Skylight (Size: 27 m long by 15 m wide and 4.4 m high) by Al Ain General Contracting (Algeco) for Zakher Palace in Al Ain.

This Barrel Vault skylight has 8 sections telescopically opening one over the other. The design & installation of this skylight was particularly challenging as the deflection of each  segment of the movable skylights were to be the same even though it had different span sizes.

Minimum gap of 3-6 mm only was maintained between the sections to prevent air, water and dust infiltration in order to ensure that the skylights open smoothly and flawlessly every time.
