Local design group DBI Design worked closely with the Sofitel to create the collection of luxury accommodation in Parisian inspired surrounds. The Prestige and Opera luxury suites feature luxury stone bathware custom made by Melbourne based apaiser™.

The design concept focuses on infusing French elegance with elements of local heritage and has resulted in a fresh and sophisticated décor, whilst still reflecting traditional French design influences creating a space that’s right out of Paris’ Latin Quarter. The true pièce de résistance of this stunning refurbishment has to be the Opera Suite which now sprawls across one level. Original art, Hermès toiletries and a luxury stone bathing experience, make this the most sought after suite in the city.

The grand bathroom in the Opera suite is decorated with spectacular designer wall coverings and incorporates a giant stone ‘Lunar’ luxury bath tub custom made by apaiser™, big enough for two or more! This circular bath complements the custom made apaiser™ ‘orbit’ basins with overflow, a rain head shower and the finest in European finishes by Arper and Fantini, with tap ware created by famed Japanese designer Naoto Fukusawa.
