The boutique firm, which opened in January 2013, is focused on servicing clients throughout the Cairns region.
It offers expertise in the areas of conveyancing, wills and estates as well as traffic matters and licence applications. Advance Law also represents individuals needing assistance in the areas of criminal law, litigation and debt recovery.
Additionally, Advance Law handles diverse, complex matters relating to family law including de facto relationships, separation and divorce, property settlements, children’s living arrangements, binding financial agreements, spousal maintenance, settlement conferences and mediation.
“We are excited to offer our services in Cairns and look forward to growing our firm and expanding the legal services we offer to our clients.”
Ms Blain, who was born and raised in North Queensland, believes Advance Law is well positioned to meet public demand for more affordable and accessible legal services locally.
“We aim to be realistic, affordable, fair and most importantly flexible. We are willing to work with clients and will tailor arrangements to meet their needs,” she said.
“We are different and stand out from other firms. As a smaller firm, we are progressive, able to adapt to changes easily and are continually looking to improve ourselves in order to offer the best service possible.”
Prior to establishing Advance Law, Ms Blain was a partner in a prominent local law firm. She was admitted as a solicitor in 2006 after completing her Bachelor of Arts and Law at James Cook University, where she was recognised with the prestigious Sir George Kneipp award for excellence in the legal field.
It is this experience, knowledge and passion for the legal industry that Ms Blain brings to Advance Law.
“There is a lot of satisfaction in being able to help someone. In most cases, people come to see a lawyer when they need help and quite often it is not simply a win or lose situation.
“I see it as an honour to be able to help an individual through what can be some of life’s most difficult experiences and will always strive to obtain the best possible outcome for our clients.”
Open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm, the Advance Law office is located on Level 1, Reeftor House, 194 McLeod Street.
“This location keeps us within 10 minutes of the courthouse while still being conveniently located on the fringe of the CBD with easy parking,” she added.
