Pillar Hotels & Resorts’ Project Management Team Completes Remodeling of TownePlace Suites Albany

IRVING, Texas - March 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Pillar Hotel & Resorts is proud to announce that its project management group, PHR Construction, has fully renovated the 100-room TownePlace Suites in Albany, New York, which is their second TownePlace Suites project of 2013.  The hotel makeover outfitted the lobby, public spaces and guest suites with new furnishings, textures, finishes and colors.  Each suite’s fully equipped kitchen also received an update with granite countertops and new, full-sized stainless steel appliances.

The “UpTowne” décor package features hardwood floors in the registration area which also houses a business center, fitness room and a convenience mart dubbed “In a Pinch” .  Gold and orange hues throughout the public areas and guest suites create a modern, jazzy feel.  Remodeled rooms included the addition of flat panel HD-TVs and a flexible work station that allows a guest to move the desk wherever is most comfortable.  Bathrooms sport new hardwood flooring and granite countertops.

An April grand re-opening, with hundreds of invited guests and clients of the twelve-year-old hotel, marks the end of many months of preparation and four months of construction, a challenge in the Albany winter.  “We had to make a few time concessions with the snow we get here,” said PHR Project Manager Chris Chamblee, “we won’t be doing anything with the pool area for a couple of months yet!”
