Woman-Owned WildRock Proves First-Year Success is Possible

Kristin Golliher opened the doors at WildRock in March 2012 with a vision to bring a creative and progressive agency to the national landscape, and the mother of two has grown her business and its team in the first year.

According to the most recent studies, women-owned businesses account for 29 percent of the nation’s businesses, and leaders like Golliher are proving that as the economy recovers this trend will continue to grow. Golliher’s success story began with her role as head of public relations at OtterBox® back in 2005. In her seven years at the company, she was instrumental in growing OtterBox from $500,000 to a $400 million international brand upon her departure, applying her expertise and drive to generate unprecedented media placement, brand recognition and fan loyalty.

During the first year of operation, WildRock outgrew its original office space and expanded to the Harmony corridor in October 2012. Golliher attributes the growth to her talented team and incredible client base, including University of Colorado Health, HighCraft Builders, LulzBot® and McWhinney. “I love the challenge and opportunity to grow something from the ground up and am thrilled to be celebrating our one year anniversary!” states Golliher of the milestone.

WildRock’s achievement is also a result of a distinct approach to PR and marketing, creating a niche community within the industry as a whole. Golliher’s business model combines creativity, strategy and practicality, focusing on building relationships and long-term partnerships to help brands reach goals. Having welcomed her second daughter in February, Golliher fosters a progressive workplace with a healthy work/life balance, offering schedule flexibility to employees.
