Registration deadline extended for Baltimore Fashion Week

BALTIMORE - March 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Baltimore Fashion Week is extending its registration deadline for designers interested in showcasing in Baltimore Fashion Week and for the philanthropic initiative the Emerging Designer Competition from April 30, 2013, until May 31, 2013.  Linger Magazine is the noted sponsor for this competition.

“Allowing this extended registration deadline, tackles a two-fold issue.  This extension allows artists and designers who wish to participate a longer time-frame to submit the necessary documents to be considered for this event.  Secondly, it provides additional time for the middle/high school and college students to obtain required documents for the Emerging Designer Competition.  At Baltimore Fashion Week, we admire the talent that lies within our youth,” stated Nixon.  

The Emerging Designer Competition guidelines are located under the “Registration” tab of the event’s website www.baltimore-fashionweek.com. The guideline registration form must be completed and returned to Baltimore Fashion Week by first class mail post-marked by May 31, 2013, in order to be considered for this year.

Registration for Baltimore Fashion Week is open to artists/designers on a first come first serve basis.  Any interested artist or designer who wishes to participate is encouraged to send a message along with 3 to 5 images or sketches of the “intended” collection to designerinfo@baltimore-fashioweek.com.

When the request and images are received, a member of the design team will review the information and render a decision.  If approved to showcase, the designer will receive the Baltimore Fashion Week Designer Agreement for review, signature and return.
