PRLog - March 27, 2013 - Moonshine Showcase in Wabasha continues to foster the Minnesota music scene.
Where can you see some of the best musicians Minnesota has to offer? The Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis?
Moonshine Showcase continues to present the small community of Wabasha with the latest up and coming musical talent Minnesota has to offer. Their next show is no exception. Supporting their soon to be released album, Farewell Milwaukee will grace the stage of the Broadway Theater Saturday, April 6th continuing the trend of big shows in the little town of Wabasha.
Farewell Milwaukee has experienced a steady rise to fame in the Minnesota music scene in the past 2 years. Along with opening for MN legendary singer songwriter Mason Jennings in Wabasha last year, Farewell Milwaukee played a number of high profile shows including the Basilica Block Party in Minneapolis.
Joining Farewell Milwaukee will be Grand Rapids native Actual Wolf. Named one of the “Best new bands of 2012” by The Current 89.3 in Minneapolis, The Wolf has smashed to the top of the Minnesota music scene. Described as a “Bob Dylanesque” style of songwriter, Actual Wolf will most certainly be a tour de force in Wabasha and for years to come.
Moonshine Showcase founder Barry Hill explains his excitement for the April 6th show at the Broadway Theater in Wabasha. “Farewell Milwaukee opened for Mason Jennings last year at the theater in Wabasha. They blew the crowd away!” Hill continues, explaining the importance of his roll as a promoter in the local music scene. “Here are a group of local Minnesota boys out there trying to make it, but I think they have what it takes to make it. I think that you will be hearing a lot more about Farewell Milwaukee – but you will be able to say you saw them first in Wabasha.”
Moonshine Showcase has taken a great deal of pride in exposing Wabasha to great new music and being a part of growing the Minnesota music scene. “Both Farewell Milwaukee and Actual Wolf have what it takes to wow the audience and that is what our mission is…..to give you goose bumps. And all of this is fostered by musicians from right here in Minnesota.” says Hill.
