Radio Arts Foundation -- St. Louis Announces its Board of Directors

ST. LOUIS - March 27, 2013 - PRLog -- March 27, 2013 (ST. LOUIS, MO) – Radio Arts Foundation – St. Louis, the new non-profit radio station dedicated to “bringing Bach back” to the St. Louis region, is proud to announce its board of directors. The group, which was formed in the wake of Classic 99 (KFUO) going off the air after 62 years in operation, has worked diligently to build not only a radio station, but a nucleus for the entire arts community of St. Louis to connect, grow and flourish for years to come.

“The dedication, passion and talent of the members of the board of directors of the Radio Arts Foundation is unsurpassed,” said William C. Rusnack, president of the RAF-STL board of directors. “Its members have built this station from the ground up. Everything about this station, from its non-profit status to its state-of-the-art studios to its dedication to the serving the arts organizations in the region is revolutionary. The St. Louis community will truly be enriched because of their innovative vision for this station.”

RAF-STL President William C. Rusnack is a retired business executive and community leader. He is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Premcor. Previously, he served as president of ARCO Products Company, the refining and marketing division of Atlantic Richfield Company. During his 31-year career at ARCO, he was also President of ARCO Transportation Company and Vice President of Corporate Planning.

Rusnack is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council of the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago and the National Council of the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. He serves on the Board of Directors of Flowserve Corporation, Peabody Energy and Sempra. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Board of Trustees of the St. Louis Science Center and a member of the Executive Committee of Opera Theatre of St. Louis.

In addition to Rusnack, other members of the committed volunteer board include: Thriess Britton, Deanne Lane, Babette Meiners, Noemi K. Neidorff, James Nouss, Lisa Nouss, Mabel Purkerson, and Donna Wilkinson. The board has worked together and with numerous community leaders and arts organizations in the St. Louis area to build RAF-STL’s new classical radio station into an asset for the St. Louis region.
