Transportation Insight® to Implement Inmedius®Omnibus LMS

PITTSBURGH - March 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Pittsburgh, PA – March 27, 2013 - Inmedius®, a Boeing Company, was chosen to provide their Omnibus Learning Management Suite as the eLearning platform for Transportation Insight®, one of North America’s leading providers of custom logistics solutions.   The comprehensive, web-based Learning Management System (LMS) is used to author, edit, deliver and track eLearning and Instructor-Led Training (ILT). Based in Hickory, North Carolina, Transportation Insight will use the Omnibus LMS to support and expand high quality educational offerings to its 200 employees in their University program.

With Omnibus, Transportation Insight plans to quickly create a user hierarchy of roles and permissions for LMS administrators, trainers, managers and students.  The system’s Class Concept, a simple way of grouping students by trainer, allows roles to be configured -- trainers only see the students in their class, rather than all users in the system.  Transportation Insight will also take advantage of Omnibus’ numerous standard reports, which may be modified to meet specific needs.  Monthly usage data and status updates will be configured to be automatically emailed to the appropriate individuals.  The Omnibus reminder and event email notification feature also allows messages to be customized.
