Shirlie's Girls Night Out Returns For 2013

DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, D.C. - March 26, 2013 - PRLog -- SHIRLINGTON, VA  – The Village at Shirlington (http://www.villageatshirlington.com; f: The Village at Shirlington; t: @vlgShirlington) announces the return of Shirlie’s Girls Night Out, the much-adored, village-wide monthly celebration of style.  Beginning on Thursday, April 4 and continuing through October on the first Thursday of each month, hundreds of women will head to the Village at Shirlington from around the Beltway to enjoy trunk shows, cocktails and promotions from the village’s best boutiques, restaurants, salons, spas and shops. Summer dates will be May 2, June 6, July 11 and August 1.

“Shirlie’s Girls Night Out was started last year as a short-term program and it really took off beyond our expectations,” said Jill Powell, marketing manager for The Village at Shirlington. “We are thrilled that The Village at Shirlington has become such a popular Thursday destination, and as a result, our shops and restaurants and customers have really embraced the event.  Based on its popularity, we’ll be growing the event for 2013 and will be incorporating live music, a book launch party with Wendy Higgins at our May event, yoga classes and more throughout the summer.”

Attendees at the opening night will receive a free Shirlie’s Girls Night Out tumbler.  These will be available at the Hilton Garden Inn, and will be available while supplies last.
