Grand Rapids MI Appliance Repair Firm Sends More than Just Management to the 2013 ASTI Convention

March 26, 2013 - PRLog -- Grand Rapids, Michigan – The 2013 Appliance Servicers Training Institute (ASTI) presented by the United Servicers Association (USA) at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, March 6-9, 2013. This is convention where most of the attendees are in the appliance repair business, but are not competitors with one another since the majority are in a different local market from one another. This creates an atmosphere of open sharing with one another training of repair skills, business skills, marketing skills, and more. There are presentations from both appliance manufacturers as well as follow appliance repair service business owners.

This year, E.D. Miller Appliance Service, Inc. sent Erik and his wife (son and daughter in-law of owner Mike DeYoung) to the 2013 ASTI. Both came back from the convention with new ideas to try out for advertising the business, and ideas and tools for improving the efficiency of the business.

Additionally, Erik attended presentations by appliance manufactures Meile and LC. At this time, Millers is not seeing many service calls for these brands in their market area around Grand Rapids, Michigan, but is hoping for increased sales of these brands in the area in the future, and thus possible requests for service.
