Located in Oak Ridge, Y-12 is actively looking for small business contracts in the areas of IT, construction materials and services, professional and administrative services, lab safety products, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, R&D, engineering, computer software, waste management, electronic instruments, etc. These products and services are regularly purchased by Y-12. Dale Christianson, UPF Deputy Project Director and Richard Brown, UPF Procurement Director, will be presenting on behalf of Y-12 at the event. Paul Middlebrooks, PTAC procurement counselor from Chattanooga, will give a presentation on securing federal business opportunities. Bryan Strong, President of Vendor Registry, will be presenting on his Knoxville-based company which augments the matching of state and local government buyers with East Tennessee vendors. Gloria Armstead, SBA Business Opportunity Specialist from Nashville, will also be presenting on the criteria and benefits of becoming certified as an 8(a), Woman-Owned, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Minority-Owned or HUBZone Small Business.
