What: Hoopla in the Hills is a family festival that has merged all ages and backgrounds. Big Events Presents is proud to begin yet another festival season in Athens County Ohio. This art and music festival camp out is rain or shine, and will include three days of music, fun, food, a kids area with games and face painting, an Easter egg hunt for the little ones, and much more. There will be numerous food vendors offering a variety of food and nonalcoholic beverages, as well as many eclectic merchandise vendors selling a wide variety of clothing, art, crafts, and other concert goodies. No alcohol is sold on site, but patrons may bring their own beer, wine, and liquor. Over-intoxication is not tolerated. This event is an all ages event, under 15 is free, and under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. Ice, commemorative t-shirts and firewood will be sold on site, as outside firewood is prohibited.
When: Thursday, April 4 – Sunday, April 7, 2013. Gates open at 3pm Thursday for early bird camping and remain open until the gates close at 5pm on Sunday as the park closes.
Where: Poston Lake Music Park; Corner of New England Road/County Road 48 and Winner Lane, Stewart, Ohio, just 10 miles East of Athens. A 35-acre music venue with two ponds, a permanent stage, a temporary side stage, permanent restrooms, clean port-a-johns, and plenty of room for parking and camping, on a first come, first served basis. Poston Lake Music Park has been the host of Poston Lake Bluegrass Festival for 28 years and has hosted 12 festivals produced by Big Events Presents.
Cost: 3 day pass (Thurs-Sun): $80, 2 day pass (Fri-Sun): $65, 1 day pass (Sat-Sun): $40. Includes free parking and camping. Tickets are available online at www.bigeventpresents.com and are always available for cash at the gate.
