MANCHESTER, U.K. - March 25, 2013 - PRLog -- The Islamic world which was once known for its strong marriages is now seeing a barrage of broken homes and divorce. As little as 10 years ago, divorce rates were around 20% in the Muslim community, but the latest figures are now showing that this figure is as high as 60%. The problem is unfortunately due to a number of reasons, and more often than not these problems go untreated leading to marital discord and eventually divorce.

Communication problems, incompatibility, poor partner choices and outside influences are commonly cited among many feuding couples. The problem is made worse when you add in the stress of modern life, financial issues and family interference.

In an attempt to address this issue, religious teacher and International speaker Sheikh Assim Alhakeem who lives in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia aims to address this issue.  Sheikh Assim is a respected teacher and Imam who is well known in the Middle East and has appeared on many TV channels including Huda TV, Peace TV and Iqra Channel.

Sheikh Assim will be conducting a webinar entitled ‘Marital Breakdown – Its Causes And Its Cures’, to tackle the issue of marital discord in association with Pure Matrimony – the World’s largest matrimonial site for practicing Muslims who are searching for like-minded spouses.

Pure Matrimony is known for the excellent educational content it provides its members and the upcoming webinar is no exception. The company has a success rate of at least 3 successful matches per week, and takes the role of educating Muslims on the matters of marriage very seriously indeed.

Pure Matrimony’s Operational manager Arfa Saira Iqbal explained that ‘marriage is a lifelong commitment and one of our aims is that we provide our community with the resources they need to make informed decisions that will hopefully prevent long-term problems and breakups. Our ethos is that prevention is always better than cure.

Arfa also noted that the upcoming webinar was Pure Matrimony’s ‘most requested webinar to date’, which shows that the Muslim community at large is desperate for help and guidance around this issue.

Pure Matrimony will be hosting the webinar with Sheikh Assim Alhakeem on Thursday 28th March 2013 at 6pm GMT. You can learn more and register for the event by going to: www.PureMatrimony.com/webinar
