Kelsey Atkinson receives goalie accolades for 2012/2013 season

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - March 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Kingston, PA  March 25, 2013:  Kelsey Atkinson, Women’s Ice Hockey Goalie, was awarded Wyoming Seminary Women’s Hockey, team MVP award for her stellar performance and outstanding attitude during the 2012/2013 women’s hockey season.  She was also awarded a certificate of achievement for making the North American Prep Hockey Association (NAPHA) League All League Team – Second Team.

Kelsey’s Atkinson’s tenacity, commitment to working hard, and always having fun helped secure the awards.  She credits her team and coaches for supporting her throughout the year.  

“None of this would have been possible, if my team and coaches had not worked hard in training on and off the ice” Said Kelsey when asked about the awards.

Kelsey Atkinson is from Scottsdale, AZ and plays the goalie position for Wyoming Seminary Prep School in Kingston, PA.  She joined SEM for her Junior High School Year.  Scouted while playing for the Arizona Mission girls U16 team in Rochester, NY,  Kelsey was offered a position at Wyoming Seminary in May 2012.   She accepted and moved on to play at a more competitive hockey level.  Her transition to Division 1 prep school hockey proved to be a success.  Kelsey also credits her development to the Arizona Selects, Arizona She-Wolves, Jeff Tecca and especially Dave Lyons.
