Women and Unborn Child Die in Car Accident

March 25, 2013 - PRLog -- A 24-year-old woman that was 8 months pregnant was recently found dead in a car accident this Friday, according to officials.  Brittany Switak lived on the 6500 block of West 60th Place. Unfortunately, she died along with her unborn child, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

At about 7:40 p.m. Switak was driving her Pontiac. She lost control of her vehicle and hit a mailbox said Frank Bilecki, a spokesman for the Cook County sheriff's department. After she hit the mailbox she lost control of her vehicle and then hit a metal pole.

The woman and her unborn child were pronounced dead at about 8:30 p.m. at Loyola University Medical Center, officials said.

An accident reconstruction team is investigating the crash, Bilecki said. No one else was in the vehicle.
