Chilly is always getting lost on his travels with his young owner Douglas. This time he journeys with the family to Hong Kong. Everything is going swimmingly, until Chilly falls during the ferry crossing going from Hong Kong to Kowloon. The toy bear falls into a fishing boat, where he is covered with stinky fishy on the way to a Chinese port. There Chilly meets a young Chinese boy who takes him home to get a bath.

Chilly goes off traveling with his new friend, winding up in Beijing. Chilly hopes to see some real panda bears while there and finds some at the zoo. He can even talk to them!
