Jeep and Mopar to Display Six New Concept Cars at Moab Easter Jeep Safari

The reveal will occur at the 47th Annual Moab Easter Jeep Safari, held in Moab, Utah March 23 through March 31. At the event, thousands of people will come to off-road on a series of world-famous trails.

Jeep, known for their Trail-Rated off-roading vehicles, regularly attends the Easter Jeep Safari to show off their new models and present customization ideas. With the assistance of Mopar, Chrysler Group’s service and parts division, Jeep will be showcasing six new concept cars showcasing what can be done with Jeep Performance Parts. Since 2002, they have displayed close to 40 vehicles at the event.

The 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Concept features the new EcoDiesel V6 offering enough torque to clear any off-roading challenge. The vehicle has an extreme design with a blood-orange paintjob and 35-inch Mickey Thompson tires. Other off-roading features include customized skid plates, dual tow hooks in the back, and rock rails.

In addition to the Jeep Grand Cherokee concept, there will be several modifications of the classic Jeep off-roading vehicle: the Wrangler. The Jeep Wrangler Mopar Recon is painted in grey and features a 6.4L HEMI V8 putting up 470 hp. Other modifications include Dana 60 front and rear axles, Mopar window kits, canvas soft top, LED headlamps, and custom seats made from Navy blankets and camouflage.

Among the other concepts on display at the Easter Jeep Safari will be the Jeep Wrangler Stitch, Jeep Wrangler Sand Trooper II, Jeep Wrangler Flattop, and Jeep Wrangler Slim, which offers maximum performance in a lightweight package. All of these concepts will display the possibilities for increasing off-road performance through customization.
