Peak Performance Strategist, Deb Cheslow, Urges "Aim - Fire - Ready"

Where would your life be if every time you said "I should...," you actually DID?

PORT ORANGE, Fla. - March 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Most people are really bad at making decisions; in fact, 97% of people out there positively HATE making decisions and were never really taught HOW to make them.  When approaching any decision making process, most people follow the old adage, “Ready, Aim, Fire.”  The problem is they never get past the “Ready” phase.   They get a great idea and then get stuck in get ready to get ready mode, never getting around to pulling the trigger and making the decision to take action.

Peak Performance Strategist, Speaker and Best-selling Author, Deb Cheslow, asserts that effective people reorder the equation - they take Aim, they Fire, and THEN they get Ready.  Effective, successful people get a great idea, then they make the decision and move into action, and only THEN do they worry about figuring out “how” they are going to make it all happen.

Most people are very indecisive – either they put off making decisions or they just ask other people for THEIR opinion on the matter and then make a decision.  The biggest reasons most people procrastinate making decisions are TIME and MONEY.  However, what Cheslow has seen play out time and time again is that once  a person makes a committed decision, the time and money just tend to just show up!

Cheslow continues, “Now, I’m not talking about money falling out of the sky (although sometimes that happens – I’ll go out to the mailbox and there’s an unexpected check), and I’m certainly not talking about going out and racking up a bunch of credit card debt.  I am talking about having the courage to make a decision to do something and then take action on that decision.  Courage is not the absence of fear; it is taking action in spite of that fear.  I can assure you that once you make the decision, your behavior will change to make room in your schedule and your budget.”

Current financial circumstances should not be a consideration—the only thing you need to take into account is a) do you want it? and b) will it move you closer to your goal?  If the answer to those two questions is “Yes,” then make a decision right then, right where you are, with what you have.  The next question that needs to be addressed is:  Do you want to be remarkably successful or do you want to be MOST PEOPLE? Remarkable people form the habit of doing things that “most people” either don’t do, can’t do or won’t do.
