SoleXChange hosts ‘Buy, Sell, Trade’ Sneakerhead Event April 7

MIDDLETOWN, N.J. - March 23, 2013 - PRLog -- The event provides a forum for “sneakerheads” to buy, sell or trade limited-edition sneakers and attend educational classes on the art of negotiating and marketing high demand footwear. A quality control station will be on-site to authenticate all sneakers upon request. Two nonprofit organizations, Soles4Souls and Stomp the Monster, are event sponsors.

The convention will include raffles with prizes including tickets to a New York Knicks game; two center ice tickets to a NY Rangers game; four tickets to a NY Red Bulls game and a limited addition sneaker raffle. Other show features include a TSXC trophy for the “Best in Shoe” kicks worn the day of the show, sneaker battles and a surprise celebrity appearance.

“New Jersey is home to thousands of sneakerheads who are in need of a live environment to refine their sneaker collections,” explains Joe Diorio, founder of TSXC. “This event combines kicks, fashion, music and fun supported by our exclusive Quality Control Station which will confirm the authenticity of any kicks being sold or exchanged.”

“Historically, sneaker exchange events have been city-based,” adds Susie Howard, co-host of TSXC NJ. “TSXC recognizes the “sneakerhead” culture is also booming in the suburbs and fans are in need of this kind of venue.”

Discounted general admission tickets are $15 each for advance purchase or $20 at the door. VIP tickets, offering exclusive “front of the line” entrance to the venue, are $20 each in advance and $25 at the door.
