PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 22, 2013 - FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- For over 20 years, Arizona Raft Adventures has been running a trip with two rafting options—the oar raft and paddle raft—which had been dubbed the hybrid trip. However, with the growing trend and popularity of hybrid vehicles, this term has taken on a more universal meaning, suggesting an electric powered motor or a more environmentally friendly motor. Since the Arizona Raft Adventures’ hybrid trip has no motor option at all, Arizona Raft Adventures decided it was necessary to rename their adventure to help provide clarity to future guests. Beginning in 2013, the Grand Canyon hybrid trip was renamed “Classic Adventure”.

The Classic Adventures provide guests the opportunity to decide between riding in the oar raft one day and maneuvering themselves down river in the paddle raft with their fellow passengers the next day, therefore allowing guests to find their niche. The word “Classic” symbolizes something traditional and enduring; as one of the most traditional and long-standing ways to raft the Canyon with Arizona Raft Adventures, “Classic Adventure” accurately reflects the character and history of the trip.

To accommodate and provide options for those with less than two weeks to travel, Arizona Raft Adventures offers half Canyon trips, including the 6-7 day Upper Canyon and the 9-10 day Lower Canyon. Both half Canyon trips require a strenuous, 7.5 mile hike on the Bright Angel Trail. In addition to the Classic Adventure, the All-Paddle Adventures (offered in half Canyon options as well) and Motor Adventures (full canyon only) are also available.

Arizona Raft Adventures also currently has two trips on sale for this coming rafting season. The 9 day lower Canyon, Classic Adventure starting April 27 and ending May 5 is currently 25% off, making the final trip cost $2,072 per person. Also, the 9 day lower Canyon, Classic Adventure starting May 13 and ending May 21 is on sale at 10% off, totaling to $2,485 per person.
