Follow on Google News | Gaming World Wide To Sell Classic Gaming Items At 3rd IVGAH AuctionProceeds from auction to help fund “Gaming Age” documentary
Beginning this Saturday, March 23, at 9PM CST, the 3rd IVGAH Auction will run for one week and feature up to 14 lots from GWW founder Eric Cumming's personal collection. Examples will include a boxed, mint-condition TurboDuo system with Arcade Stick and games; an excellent condition Atari 5200; plenty of boxed classics; rare NES titles; and many more surprises. All proceeds from Cumming's GWW auction will go directly towards the production of The Gaming Age documentary, a film that aims to take an incisive look at the full history of gaming and video game culture. It will include stories from gaming's earliest era, a tour of the industry's evolution, and never-before- “Every venture takes start up money and right now that's what this project needs,” says Cummings. “Hopefully somebody else will enjoy this collection and help us fund The Gaming Age in the process—a win win!” To further support GWW with its initiative, the IVGAH has pledged to place Cumming's items in the “Charity” category, thereby waiving the seller fees associated with the auctions. Cumming's collection is so large, it will also be featured over several auctions during the year. According to IVGAH founder Ben Gold: “The IVGAH is proud to be associated with this organization and project. This is a great example of collaboration within the gaming community.” The full auction catalogue can be accessed here: http://www.ivgah.com/ Interested bidders are instructed to register with IVGAH at: http://ivgah.com/ More details will also be posted to IVGAH's Facebook page at: www.facebook.com/ About Gaming World Wide Gaming World Wide is comprised of gamers and industry stakeholders who have united to design, develop, and conduct positive acts for gamers and the gaming community.
