Parental involvement has been positively linked to students’ academic achievement and aspirations from early childhood to higher education. Research indicates that students’ fare significantly better in gaining admission to 4-year colleges when parents are involved in the education and planning process. This significance of this research is not lost on families but parents are easily overwhelmed with the college planning process. Therefore, they are seeking a forum that offers a wide variety of college preparation and planning information that will educate and help them prepare their children to reach their academic, life and career goals.  

The Holistic College planning conference is designed with parents in mind; offering breakout sessions such as Financing your College Education, Creating a College Planning Team, Collaborative Visioning and Eliminating Barriers to Academic Success; closing with a panel-led, interactive Q & A session. In addition, each session offers the most up to date and substantial information to parents so that they can adequately prepare their children to enter the world of college and career.
