Her musical journey began at the age of 6 as a choir lead and piano player at school concerts. At the age of 16 she moved to Canada and became known in Montreal for her volunteer work as a performer of classical repertoire in 8 languages. The passion for writing songs developed at the age of 19 and to date she has written over 160 songs. At the age of 24 Tatevik moved to Toronto and took on the artist name Drellander. In 2004 Tatevik collaborated with writer/film director Robert Wilson on a short film titled A Dying Fall that aired on CBC in July 2006 and won first place at WorldFest Houston. Tatevik’s multiple credits for this film include art direction, craft services, make-up, wardrobe, contract management and she also had a small part in the movie.
