Grand Avenue Theater hosts a "Taste of Hope" fundraiser for Hope for the Hungry on March 28, 2013

BELTON, Texas - March 22, 2013 - PRLog -- March 22, 2013 - Belton, TX – You can make a difference at Grand Avenue Theater on March 28th from 11:00am to 10:30pm during the “Taste of Hope” event benefiting Hope for the Hungry. 10% of all food and concession sales will go to support the ministry of Belton based, Hope for the Hungry. Enjoy the comfortable stadium seating and digital projection at Grand Avenue Theater for a great movie experience. Plus, Grand Avenue offers a full service kitchen, with in theater dining serving a variety of tasty foods including world-class sliders, chicken sliders, fried shrimp, pizzas, salads and more. In addition, the Parlor offers Blue Bell ice cream, shakes, malts, and smoothies. If it's coffee you like, come and sip on some hot coffee featuring Starbucks Coffee. Bring your family and friends, to enjoy the atmosphere, good food and of course catch a movie.

Bring school supplies to help provide an education for children in Haiti. Hope for the Hungry helps provide a Christ-centered education to over 500 students at two schools in Haiti. Education has become a major focus of Hope for the Hungry in an effort to help break the cycle of generational poverty in Haiti. Only 52.9% of people in Haiti over the age of 15 can read and write and only 65% of school-aged children are enrolled in school, mainly due to poverty. Hope for the Hungry has been serving in Haiti since 1982 and believes providing an education can help break the cycle of generational poverty in Haiti. All proceeds from the “Taste of Hope” event at Grand Avenue Theater will go towards Hope for the Hungry’s efforts to “share the Bread of Life with a starving world.”

The Taste of Hope event will be held at Grand Avenue Theater, located at 2809 Oak Mark Dr. in Belton on March 28, 2013 from open to close.

The C.O.R.E. initiatives of Hope for the Hungry are focused around Children, Outreach, Relationships and Education. We tackle these initiatives through our weekly local outreach right here in Belton and our support of schools and children's homes in Haiti. Additionally, Hope for the Hungry has an established network of cooperative missionaries and organizations in more than 17 different countries including the USA.
