Jodi Fleck for Rene Miller Presents
For the 5th year, Atlanta’s Next Best (ANB) Music Competition champions the most talented un-signed Jazz, R&B, and NeoSoul vocalists and instrumentalists throughout the Atlanta metro area and Southeast Region to compete for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform on the international stage at the 2013 Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival.
Competing talent must register online at www.renemiller.com and participate in one of two live auditions held Tuesday, March 26th and Wednesday March 27th at 7pm in the Ravinia Room at Loews Hotel Atlanta, located 1065 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta GA 30309. All competitors must also be at least 18-yrs old with a valid passport and are present in Saint Lucia May 6, 2013 through May 13, 2013.
The 2013 ANB Music Competition is sponsored by Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival, Saint Lucia Tourist Board, Saint James Club and Resort, Miller Lite, Loews Hotel and Majic 107.5 97.5 FM.
Created by radio personality Rene Miller of Rene Miller Presents, ANB Music Competition gives unsigned talent the international stage presence that may be in some cases intangible. “I have been producing programming or have been surrounded by talented artists for decades,” says Rene Miller. “I believe that because you are unsigned does not constitute a lack of opportunity to shine! If I can open the doors wider for the amazing talent that I encounter, I will.”
The 2013 ANB Music Competition Grand Prize Winner will receive:
1. An all-expense paid trip for two to Saint Lucia including tickets to the 2013 Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival concerts.
2. Performance slot on the international stage at the 2013 Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival as well as a sponsored performance opportunity in Saint Lucia backed by a 3-piece Atlanta Band.
3. A ‘single’ produced at a professional recording studio.
4. A 10-frame re-touched photo shoot portfolio package.
The 2013 ANB Music Competition winner will share the company of some of the world’s premiere jazz & R&B talent including Tito Puente Jr., The O’Jays, R.Kelly, Akon, Ginuwine, Brian Culbertson, and The Jacksons. Previous ANB Music Competition winners are Regina Troupe, Sandi Blair, Paula Champion, and stringed music duo Unknown Lyric.
