Next generation Turtle Art available for students and artists

LONDON - March 21, 2013 - PRLog -- London, UK

Hughes Bennett Education announces the release of an online Turtle Art tool to promote digital art for constructionist learning of mathematics, natural sciences and computer science. The web-based software does not require any download or installation and is available FREE to the public.

Anytime and anywhere access to academic software has immediate potential benefits for colleges and universities looking to reach a wider range of students. Government initiatives such as Widening Participation in England and the Pell Grant programme in America bring more students to higher education and increase the demand and use of academic software. Chi Nguyen, Editor of Hughes Bennett Education, commented that, "The success of the Internet means that the current generation of students are most comfortable using the web browser as the primary interface to software. Turtle Art empowers artists and students to create beautiful computer art while practicing and learning mathematics, natural sciences and computer science."

Turtle Art includes features to publish projects online to share or embed in other websites. Work is in progress to build a collection of learning resources for students and artists of all ages. There is already a wide collection of puzzles, fractals and lessons available with Turtle Art.

Please visit the website to view the puzzles, fractals and lessons and to create your own Turtle Art!
