"Clients of ours generally start thinking about their bodies more at this time of year", explains Aaron. "With the summer season, trips and weddings all coming up soon, everyone wants to look their best and shed those holiday pounds. It's an exciting time to be a personal trainer because this is when people are their most motivated."
Aaron explains how his methods differ from those of other fitness trainers. "One of the things I love about Perfect Personal Training is that we focus on the science of physical fitness", he begins. "We aren't going to do crunches and sit-ups all day and hope for the best, like fitness DVDs will have you do. We focus on metabolic change, the caloric balance equation, and a personalized circuit to maximize the loss of adipose tissue - which is fat that the body doesn't really need. It isn't in the best interest of my clients to focus too much on abdominal muscle conditioning when there are more effective strategies."
Aaron also explains the exercises that his clients rely on: "Everyone has different likes and dislikes, so I try to find ways to make their sessions fun and involve the movements that they enjoy, as long as it still fits the bigger picture. A big one is walking lunges for most of my clients, but that wasn't an appropriate exercise for a lot of them when they first started out with me."
