Ashcraft fielded questions as he explained the benefits and techniques of massage therapy and shared a self-help technique to combat carpal tunnel syndrome. Ashcraft was accompanied by three students from the program. The students performed chair massage and demonstrated a forearm self-massage technique that everyone in the studio was trying before the show was over.
“The questions KC Lupp asked were perfect for Ross to inform the audience about the Massage Therapy program at Community Care College and I thought the forearm demonstration was a good one to do on yourself,” said Kimberly Hester, Medical Assisting Instructor at CCC.
Many of the benefits of Massage Therapy include: relieving stress, encouraging relaxation, improving posture, improving posture, improving circulation, lowering blood pressure, relaxing muscles, improving flexibility and range of motion, promoting deeper and easier breathing, relieving headaches, strengthening the immune system, enhancing post-operative rehabilitation, improving rehabilitation after injury.

The students at Community Care College participate in 3 monthly volunteer events as our commitment to make a positive impact on Tulsa and surrounding areas.
The curriculum at Community Care College involves extensive practical experience in Swedish massage and all relaxation massage techniques. In addition, training is included but not limited to Neuromuscular massage, Reflexology, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy massage, Shiatsu, Lymphatic Drainage, Thai massage, Polarity, Tuning Fork, Craniosacral, Therapeutic Spa, Sports massage, Stone massage, and business and marketing techniques for the growing massage field.
