PRLog - March 22, 2013 - Earth’s surface has been hit most recently in Russia and in smaller less deadly places across the globe but nothing can prepare Earth’s civilization for what is about to happen. NASA with its limited budget has not been able to watch the skies to the full extent that previous generations of Americans have been fortunate enough to experience. Perhaps 3% is all that able to be covered and viewed at this time. The time and preparation we could have had allowing us to take precautions and prepare for an impact are no longer available. Because of budget cuts and the strain of Sequestration already experienced by the current state of the economy the sacrifices the President announced over his last term may be far more significant now than ever dreamed.
President Obama Message
Comets, meteorites and asteroids all share close proximity with the Earth and very little can prevent an errant ball of dirt, ice and rock from hurling at incredible rates of speed towards the Earth. The weed and dry good cellars protecting us from deadly winds, hurricanes, the raised walls and levies needed to keep the Earth’s lakes, rivers and oceans from spewing forth with tsunami like conditions will not prevent the devastation that occurs when a meteor of this magnitude hits. The President is expected to announce additional details about the event, effects of impact and what the US government and especially FEMA are doing to help with Phase 2, post impact.
