WATERLOO, Ontario - March 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Smart Tweezers LCR-meter has grown exponentially in the past 10 years on the market, becoming a worldly recognized device for testing and troubleshooting Surface Mount Technology. The indistinguishable device is the combination of a set of tweezers, a small display and an accurate LCR meter. The electronics tester is now available in China and surrounding Asian countries with help from GoldTek in Suzhou, China.

Siborg’s innovative tool was designed for Surface Mount Technology, and is able to automatically determine the type of component when in contact with the tweezers’ tips and measures for Inductance(L), Resistance (R) and Capacitance (C) automatically. Easily used with only one hand, the device makes component sorting, in-circuit and on-board impedance testing and quick PCB testing and debugging simple and hassle-free with all passive and through-hole components.

With a patented mechatronic design, Smart Tweezers’ LCR-meter features very low and well defined parasitics. These parasitics are easily eliminated using the semi-automatic offset subtraction feature on the device. With parasitics removed, measurements as low as a microhenry are achievable when measuring for Inductance, as well as 1 milliohm and 1 picofarad while measuring for Resistance and Capacitance.
