Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State Names 2013 "Magical Circle" Honorees

The Magical Circle was established in 2007 to recognize those individuals who through their professional accomplishments and community service have become exemplary role models for children in Rhode Island.
 
CRANSTON, R.I. - March 21, 2013 - PRLog -- CRANSTON, RIBig Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State (BBBSOS) has announced the 2013 inductees into its Magical Circle of People We Admire. The Magical Circle was established in 2007 to recognize those individuals who through their professional accomplishments and community service have become exemplary role models for children in Rhode Island.

The 2013 “Magical Circle” honorees are:

Sixcia Devine, Business Visionary, SIXCIA Business
Marty Fine, Head Football Coach, Bryant University
Ned Handy, President, Citizens Bank & RBS Citizens
Carolyn Rafaelian, Founder, Alex & Ani

In addition, Valerie Tutson, award-winning, professional storyteller, and co-founder and first director of the Rhode Island Black Storytellers, will receive the agency’s annual Legacy Award for being a pioneer in her field and having an impact on the lives of countless children and adults in our community.  

The inductees will be honored at BBBSOS’s annual gala on April 27th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Goat Island in Newport. The event, themed The Big Night Out: Bollywood, will feature an elegant dinner, live and silent auctions, and special themed music and entertainment. Proceeds from The Big Night Out: Bollywood will be used to support the mentoring programs for over 500 children throughout Rhode Island.
