Tracesmart receives DataSeal stamp of approval

March 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Tracesmart further demonstrates its commitment to data security and management with the addition of the DataSeal award. The leading consumer data specialist has substantiated its high standards in Information Security Management System (ISMS) following confirmation of its DataSeal stamp of approval to accompany its ISO27001 certification achieved in 2010.

The mark confirms and underlines Tracesmart's affirmation to establish, operate, review and improve its ISMS processes. This provides the business with a trusted framework that ensures its data - and those of its clients - is kept secure and confidential.

Issued by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), DataSeal is the only recognised standard for ISMS other than ISO27001. The standard has been refined and developed to reflect the specific information security challenges of both data controllers and data processors. Tracesmart is audited externally every six months to ensure on-going adherence, allowing the company to provide additional confidence to its clients, staff and stakeholders, and that all its data processing is in-line with these standards and the Data Protection Act.
