The new program is funded through a 5-year, $1.65 million Title III Strengthening Institutions Program grant from the US Department of Education and is part of CCCC’s broader efforts to promote student success, retention, and graduation. Through the program, Central Carolina Community College will leverage Aviso’s proprietary coaching software to track student attendance, monitor GPA, and develop student success plans. Aviso’s software application will be connected to the Blackboard Learning Management System to deliver crucial pieces of student data in real-time. In tandem with the project, Aviso is consulting with CCCC on hiring new coaches and redesigning its coaching methodology so that each student has a single point of contact throughout their college career.
