American Society of Civil Engineers Names John Hogan, PE, Outstanding Section Officer in California

TUSTIN, Calif. - March 21, 2013 - PRLog -- John Hogan, P.E., LEED AP, is named as Outstanding Section Officer for the state of California by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Region 9. Mr. Hogan is CEO and Principal of Hall & Foreman, Inc. (HFI), a civil engineering, land planning, and surveying firm.

Region 9 of ASCE is part of the nationwide ASCE organization whose mission is to provide essential value to its members and partners, advance civil engineering, and serve the public good.  Region 9 is comprised of the four Sections that cover the state of California.  Those Sections are Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, and San Francisco.

Mr. Hogan was honored for his service as the 2011-2012 President of the Los Angeles Section. The Los Angeles Section serves approximately 8,000 members from seven local ASCE branches including the Desert Area, Metropolitan Los Angeles, Orange County, San Bernardino/Riverside Counties, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara/Ventura Counties and Southern San Joaquin branches.  As President, Mr. Hogan led the Section’s leadership team in developing and implementing programs and services for the professional development of the members.  

Throughout Mr. Hogan’s 39-year engineering career, he has managed design teams for a variety of large-scale residential and land planning projects. As CEO of HFI (http://www.hfinc.com/about-us/leadership-team.html), Mr. Hogan had the honor of leading the firm through its 50th year of operation (http://www.hfinc.com/about-us/timeline.html). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Southern California and a Master of Science degree in civil engineering from California State University Long Beach. He is an ASCE Orange County Branch Engineer of the Year and is past president of that Branch. In addition, Mr. Hogan is active in numerous professional associations and societies, including the Building Industry Association Orange County Chapter’s Board of Directors.
