Political Theater On A Local Level. Now That’s Entertainment "The Verdict"

The courtroom was abuzz with spite as the mayor, a serial litigator, attempted to sue most of the city government in a tantrum, a snit, and a fit.

Today was on a scale of one through ten, an eight on the interesting scale. Anyone that knows me very well knows I love to study my fellow humans. They are simply fascinating to me. Today was a great example of this.

I sneaked in mostly unseen to court room 2C at exactly 1:30pm today. On the docket was the mayor of Snellville Georgia suing pretty much everyone the paperwork would hold in city government. Nothing would make me happier than to say it was an unusual occurrence. But the mayor there is the gift that keeps on giving if you’re an ethics watchdog like myself. As I told a local reporter, “I want to stop investigating the mayor, but she just won’t stop”. As best I can tell, with the tests I found, she is a typical sociopath. They just do not have brakes.

Today the judge was incredible. Judge Hamil, if I recall. He listened, remained unbiased, and rendered a verdict. The mayor lost in a big way. Over the last year and a half since this mayor took office things have been contentious to say the least. This courtroom theater was sparked by the mayor attempting to fire yet another city attorney. Since her reign, there have been six. I really can’t go into all the constitutional mishaps she has had since taking office. She won the election by running as someone she wasn't. You see Snellville is a Conservative, mostly Republican community. I’m not condoning this, merely stating the facts. She is not a Republican Conservative. That doesn't make her bad or wrong, just deceitful.

The future is bright for this little Hamlet in Georgia. My hope is that voters get what is going on and vote for what’s best, not what’s popular, of completely fraudulent. I will be vetting every candidate and reporting the results of those investigations just before the election this November. Stay tuned.
