J.V. Mycklewhyte, Human Resources Manager, previously  wrote  under the pseudo Vanrohea J. Whyte.  Her love for the written word and the joy of life has compelled her to write a series of short stories about her happy childhood, despite the fact that these were tough times. The stories are based on actual events in settings of a family island settlement where many happy school holidays were spent and in a neighbourhood where the community lived like a family.

Her desire is to provide happy memories for the present children and those children of the future who would not know of the fun and adventures those Bahamian children of the past in the Bahamas experienced during their youth.

J.V. Mycklewhyte received her education in The Bahamas, England and the United States of America. She is a graduate of the Southern Senior School, Nassau Technical College, Bahamas, London Chamber of Commerce, Pitman’s College, England, College of St. Benedict, Minnesota and McHari International College, Bahamas.  Her hobbies include reading, writing, sewing and cooking.
