What is the difference between a good athlete and a great athlete?

Geoff Rottmayer dedicates career to coaching athletes to break through mental barriers that keep from performing up to their peak potential.

TULSA, Okla. - March 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Tulsa, Oklahoma – Sports is 90% mental and 10% physical, yet very few spend time mastering their mental game to achieve optimal results. Studies show that there are less than 1% difference between amateur athletes and professional athletes in physical output.

So, what’s the difference between a good athlete and a great athlete?

Their brain!

Geoff Rottmayer, a former athlete, is a certified mental strength coach. Mental strength is the ability to overcome mental resistance and consciously make things happen. GRC has a proven program that has helped athletes break through mental barriers and take ownership of their thoughts. “It’s been amazing to see the results and hear how the program has helped our clients reach their potential, maximize their performance, and produce better results,” Rottmayer says.

Mental Strength Training is about improving the athlete’s attitude and mental game strategies to help them best identify limiting beliefs and embrace a healthier philosophy about their sport. Athletes can benefit from mental strength training by:

·         Improving focus and deal with distraction

·         Grow confidence

·         Develop coping skills to deal with set backs

·         Develop communications skills

·         Develop confidence post injury

·         Game specific strategies and plan

·         Identify and enter the zone more often

Rottmayer’s goal is to help athletes and teams perform their best by improving necessary mental skills to excel in sporting endeavors. All mental strength training programs include eye exercises that will, in conjunction with the mental strength training, slow the game down.
