Mike Hancock and Christian Unger speak at Pro Energy Alliance Workshop

DALLAS - March 18, 2013 - PRLog -- DALLAS –Shermco Industries’ Mike Hancock and Christian Unger provided training at the Pro Energy Alliance Protection System Maintenance & Testing event on March 13 and 14, a 2013 P.E.A. Compliance Workshop in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Attendees of the two-day workshop learned about the upcoming NERC reliability standard PRC-005-2 and the variances from PRC-005-1. They were also apprised of a wide range of topics for maintenance and testing best practices for protection system components, maintenance and testing data collection for compliance monitoring, implementation of a protection maintenance program into an existing compliance and maintenance culture, and internal auditing practices.

Mike Hancock covered NERC and FERC, instrument transformers, protective relays, communication systems and DC control as required by NERC/FERC Standard PRC-005-2. Christian Unger covered the new definition of the Bulk Electric System.
