GLASTONBURY, Conn. - March 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Wednesday, March 20, 2013 is this year's annual Ag Day at the Capitol. Located in the North Lobby of the Capitol building from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, over 50 agricultural associations, including the Connecticut State Grange, will be present to answer questions and distribute information.

The Connecticut State Grange is a long-time participant at this event, and will once again be hosting an informational booth, explaining the organization's mission and significance to Connecticut agriculture.

Legislative leaders and their aides are encouraged to visit the booths and displays, providing agricultural organizations the opportunity to inform policy makers of the importance of agriculture, to voice concerns, and discuss legislation important to agriculture.

The celebration will also feature presentations of awards and the official proclamation of "Connecticut Agriculture Day" by Governor Dannel Malloy.

The Connecticut State Grange has been an integral part of rural and non-rural communities across the state for over 125 years, with currently nearly 60 local Grange chapters in Connecticut. Local Granges are committed to bettering their communities through service projects, legislative initiatives, and family orientated activities.
