Follow on Google News | Grammy Winning Artist Matt Alber and Cello Street Quartet Announce San Francisco ConcertMarch 28, 2013 Performance Celebrates Classical and Pop Music at Swedish American hall
By: positivePR "As soon as we heard each other's music, we looked at each other and said, 'Let's DO this!" Alber enthused. In a matter of weeks, the two were filming a DVD together on the concert hall stage at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. "Now we get to see how it flies with a live, beardy audience in the Castro." Alber first met the young virtuosos during one of their impromptu sidewalk busks in front of Cliff's Variety. Their joint DVD is cleverly titled, "Matt Alber with Strings Attached." "Finally there's a concert for fans of Bach AND Sia," says Matt Linaman of the Cello Street Quartet. "We're all going to be on the edge of our seats." The concert will feature both solo and joint performances by the artists including covers of iconic pop songs, Alber's heart-breaking originals, and classical instrumentals spanning nearly three centuries of music. Alber and the Cello Street Quartet will be joined by contemporary classical pianist, Feona Lee Jones who will open the concert with her instrumental original compositions. General Admission tickets are still available online at: www.cafedunord.com. Additional tickets may be available at the door the night of the performance.
