March 21, 2013 at Newark Museum. 211 Ci is a part of the organization of Community Impact's "Reading is for Life” initiative. The organization is a Newark, NJ city wide campaign which raises questions about the city’s literacy levels and communicates academic standards for school age children. There are three components of the initiative used to educate the community;the “Reading is for Life Coalition, Parent and Community Common Core Content Standards Resources, and Community Literacy Events. The first annual event, “Move for the City” is to raise funds to educate the Newark community and to reach out to those with literacy needs.

The reception will start at 6:30PM at Newark Museum; 49 Washington St, Newark,NJ, 07101, and will honor Dr. Larry Levert, Executive Director of Panasonic Foundation, Deborah Sanger, Trustee of the Sanger Family Foundation, DJ Marley Marl, Hip Hop Pioneer & featured on WBLS radio station, and Newark Councilwoman Mildred Crump. New Jersey native Dupree Kelly, founder of Lords of the Underground and founder of 211 community impact states "I believe giving back to my community. "
