MIAMI - March 15, 2013 - PRLog -- The Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists, the global member organization that issued the world's first e-discovery certification, has launched ACEDS University, a digital learning hub at ACEDSUniversity.com that will house top e-discovery training courses.

ACEDS Online E-Discovery Training, the first course in the series, provides more than 15 hours of instruction across all aspects of the subject,  from preservation, to collection, to review. It is comprised of 17 chapters covering diverse topics from cross-border e-discovery to computer-assisted document review. The content is logically structured to follow the e-discovery process from beginning to end. Users learn the basics of e-discovery preparation before moving on to best practices for ESI collection and, finally, review.

Nearly 40 experts guided by professional instructional designers created the training course. The final product is the result of thousands of hours of content development, expert analysis, and thorough peer review.

21.5 CLE Credits, Includes 2.5 Ethics Credits

ACEDS Online E-Discovery Training qualifies for 21.5 CLE credits, including 2.5 Ethics credits, in the state of Florida, making it the ideal training for attorneys. Upon completion, credits can be obtained in other states by contacting the ACEDS Training Department at customerservice@aceds.org.

Skill Assessment and Tracking

Five to 10 review questions at the end of each chapter test user comprehension and recall. Each question tests on a critical piece of knowledge from the chapter and utilizes various interactive elements such as word matching and drag-and-drop tiles. There are nearly 100 quiz questions throughout the course that thoroughly test on the material presented. Whether answering correctly or incorrectly, users will be provided with clear explanations for all answers. This method reinforces learning and contributes to knowledge retention.

Users cannot advance until they have completed and fully interacted with each slide. In addition, persons designated as administrators may track user progress including quiz scores. This function is ideal for organizations that wish to administer training internally.

Interactive and Engaging Content

ACEDS Online E-Discovery Training is a fully interactive training course that is designed to consistently engage the user.  Every slide in the course is fully animated and presents the material using best practices for training. The chapters are taught by different instructors who narrate the content on each slide. Visual learners are able to take the course with sound disabled, while aural learners will benefit from professional narration. Most slides also require the user to interact using buttons, scrolling, and hover effects, increasing learning and enjoyment.
