The first track from his recent studio sessions is "Make Her Mine". It has a great sound unlike anything else being played on country and bluegrass stations anywhere these days. If you listen to the song, you will hear a cheese grater, breaking glass and even a horse. It is upbeat and fun that celebrates the excitement of going through challenges to make that special woman fall for you. Then for your friends to ask, "How did you make her yours?" The track is alot of fun and you will not be able to resist tapping your toes and wanting to share in the excitement of the chase.
Jim is able to not only create a great new track but to really express a sense of fun and excitement in the track which invites the listener to feel involved in the fun.
Jim has recorded several new tracks at the historic Greenhouse Studios in Vancouver, British Columbia. Jim resides just outside of Vancouver in the city of Mission, BC. He travels extensively throughout the west performing at major festivals and venues. Jim also spends a great deal of time performing for many charitable events and causes. He has been blessed with a great gift and he shares that in order to help others.
On his latest project "Septic Sam", Jim was surrounded by many amazing, Juno Award Winning musicians and technicians who assisted in making the Septic Sam project one of Jim's most exciting works of art to date. Jim Abbott is an artist to watch as he introduces what he feels is the music he was always itching to create and has now taken the chance to share it with the public.
