The event, called CURE Indulgence Spa Day, is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 19, at the center, 8201 Preston Road, Suite 350.
The center's dermatologists, Dr. Lori D. Stetler and Dr. Kristel D. Polder, are partnering with the Dallas affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation to offer this event during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
"We are so proud and honored to be working with this great organization. Breast cancer awareness is an issue that is close to our hearts, not just as physicians, but as women," says Dr. Stetler, a top dermatologist in Dallas.
During October, a percentage of all product sales at the Dallas Center for Dermatology and Aesthetics will be donated to the foundation. Patients of the center are also being encouraged to donate to the organization.
"Our clients are really responding to the opportunity to support this cause," says Dr. Polder, a partner at the Dallas dermatology (http://www.dallascosmeticderm.com/
Breast cancer patients attending the event can connect with other women undergoing chemotherapy while indulging in a number of services, including:
A complimentary facial or microdermabrasion, complete with hand massage and paraffin wax treatment.
A consultation with Jeanna Doyle, founder of Suite HOPE, an organization that provides wig and makeup education for cancer patients undergoing or recovering from treatment.
Chair massages from Lisa Black of Relax and Live, a comprehensive wellness service.
Every woman who attends CURE Indulgence Spa Day will also receive a goody bag to take home.
"We feel that it's the least we can do for these women who have been through so much," says Dr. Stetler. "We want to pamper them, but we also want to honor and recognize them."
