pTools To Manage Riverdocs Business in North America

MERRION SQUARE, Ireland - March 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Web Content Management (WCM) Software as a Service (SaaS) provider. pTools, today announced it has undertaken all business of Riverdocs, the document accessibility conversion company with customers in Canada, USA, Britain and Ireland. The deal enables pTools to further deliver software products and services to customers with whom both firms have engaged in recent years, including the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) Canada; StatsCan, the Canadian Statistics Department and the US Department of Transport.

pTools and Riverdocs have worked together over a number of years on a series of content accessibility initiatives for joint customers in financial services and government. The deal sees all Riverdocs software and customers migrated to pTools WCM software services.

In addition to core WCM software, pTools has an established usability and accessibility component-set which is designed to assist customers to create, manage and deliver accessible content online across browsers and devices. pTools has already developed a solution designed to meet the upcoming European Union initiative on web accessibility for key Government services in all EU member countries due to be formally introduced into law later this year.

The company’s SaaS delivery platform is seen as an important factor in this and Gartner estimates that SaaS revenue in the sector is projected to reach $22.1bn in 2015, with cloud computing driving adoption.
