LOS ANGELES - March 13, 2013 - PRLog -- 2013 Parkinson's Beach Brigade Walk-A-Thon on April 21.10 a,m.

Join us on the beach in Santa Monica, Ca., for the 2013 Parkinson’s 3k Walk-A-Thon. It is a family day that will make a difference in the lives of those living with Parkinson’s disease, while allowing participants to enjoy a beautiful day of sunshine and fun walking 3 kilometers on a walk path at Santa Monica Beach Park #1.

APDA LA is part of APDA’s national fundraising effort supporting scientific research and education to support those who have PD now. Everyone can join in the fun as participants, cheering sections, sponsors, volunteers and contributors. The walk can be enjoyed by participants of all ages and is handicap accessible!

Our annual event is a gathering with entertainment (D J), for the whole family. Enjoy our health fair and hear MayMay Ali give our kick-off speech. View Parkinson’s related items and services on exhibit, participate in raffles and contests. Generations of family and friends join together in support of finding a cure for Parkinson disease.
